Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic physicians view each patient as a whole being and provide effective patient care by incorporating lifestyle counseling, nutritional advice, exercise and rehabilitation, modern physical therapy techniques and hands-on manipulation and mobilization procedures. Doctors of chiropractic are widely recognized as experts in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.
Spinal Manipulation
Manually applying a controlled force to joints that have become restricted in their movement as a result of a tissue injury, in order to restore joint mobility. Joint mobilization and manipulation can be achieved in a variety of ways. Good chiropractors have been trained to have many alternative ways of helping return healthy mobility. Many patients prefer a lighter force or none at all; this is absolutely fine. We have many tricks in our bag and will go over them with you before we ever proceed in adjusting you.
ArthroStim
The ArthroStim instrument is a chiropractic adjustment instrument that is reported to be as good and often better at relieving pain than manual adjustments. The ArthroStim is capable of applying pressure ranging from a few ounces up to 40 pounds of force, to a very targeted point on the body.
The ArthroStim Instrument allows your doctor to maintain the effectiveness of your treatment, while greatly reducing the amount of force that is applied. This makes it easier to use on a wide variety of conditions and ailments.
Activator
Myofascial (soft tissue) Techniques
Our providers utilize a variety of soft tissue techniques to effectively treat dysfunction in the musculoskeletal system and any accompanying pain and/or restriction of motion.
Rapid release technology (RRT): targets painful adhesions using resonance (the reinforcement or prolongation of sound by reflection from a surface or by the synchronous vibration of a neighboring object.) RRT has determined the optimum frequency for maximum effectiveness. It releases the toughest adhesions, muscles, joints, and even chronic pain.
Pin and Stretch: soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves, headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with Pin and Stretch. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.
Instrument Assisted: is a therapeutic method for diagnosing and treating disorders of the skeletal muscles and related connective tissue. The method employs a collection of six stainless steel tools of particular shape and size, which are used by practitioners to feel patients’ bodies in order to detect and resolve scar tissue in the muscles and tendons.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a therapeutic modality applied directly to the skin using a round wand or probe. Gel is used as a conduit along with reducing friction and assisting in the transmission of ultrasonic waves. The waves are caused by the vibration of crystals within the head of the wand or probe. Ultrasound is used for deep heat, tissue relaxation, local blood flow, decreasing inflammation, and helping to break down scar tissue.
Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS)
Traction
Cervical traction: is designed to provide safe and effective stretching of the neck. Cervical traction can help alleviate pain, reduce nerve compression, improve spinal function, help with posture correction, and increase range of motion.
Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT)
The goal of laser therapy is to deliver light energy units, in the form of photons, to damaged cells. The consensus of experts is that photons, absorbed by the cells through laser therapy stimulate the mitochondria to accelerate production of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). This biochemical increased in cell energy is used to help transform cells from a state of illness to a stable, healthy state
